A Husband's Duties

Hindu tradition gives many requirements for the duties of an ideal husband. For example, he is to avoid contact with women who are not his wife, and he is to provide for his wife's material needs. Are these still relevant for our lives today? Do they need to be adapted? How do we try to live these ideals for ourselves?
